Kristina RaattamaM. Kristina Raattama is an Associate General Counsel and specializes in commercial transactions and contracts with an emphasis on real estate law and construction law. Before joining the Office of the General Counsel, Ms. Raattama practiced commercial real estate and finance law with the law firm of Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry, PLC located in Nashville, Tennessee. Ms. Raattama received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1990 from Vanderbilt University and her Juris Doctor, with High Honors, in 1996 from the University of Florida. While in law school, Ms. Raattama was a member of the University of Florida Journal of International Law. She is a member of the Order of the Coif. Upon graduation from Vanderbilt, she received the Walter C. Wattles/Lloyd's of London Fellowship. She then worked as a lobbysist/legislative assistant with a private law firm in Washington, D.C., specializing in higher education issues, and as a Legislative Assistant to former U.S. Representative Dante B. Fascell (FL). She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the American Bar Association. Ms. Raattama joined the University of Florida Office of the Vice President and General Counsel in 2001.
